Virgin Atlantic & Cathay pacific airlines involved in unfair business practices
Virgin Atlantic airline British airline headed by Sir Richard Branson's is to face a probe from Office of Fair Trading (OFT) into grave allegations of deliberately fixing fares on its London to Hong Kong route.
An OFT official stated while speaking to media “Virgin Atlantic airline had entered into secretive agreement on price fixing for passenger fares who book flights online on London to Hong Kong route with rival airline service Cathay Pacific over a period of 5 years.”
The unethical pricing was brought of the OFT notice by Cathay Pacific to avoid penalty as under the UK government leniency policy any company who confessed allegations and report its involvement into misconduct may qualify for immunity from government penalties.
