Washington, D.C. formally known as District of Columbia and now Washington D.C., is the financial capital of the America which was discovered in the month of July in 1790 originally was separate District of Columbia municipality. The United States capital shares its name with the U.S. state of Washington, which is situated along the country's Pacific coast.
The city is located on the bank of Potomac River towards north and connected by neighboring states of Virginia towards southwest and Maryland to the north side. The District capital is the ninth-largest metropolitan area in United States and has over 5 lacs inhabitants as its population rises tremendously.
